You will find Next Door in the beautiful East Hill neighbourhood of Belleville. This residential area is quiet and serene, allowing for a soothing night’s rest, but only a two-minute drive from Belleville’s vibrant downtown.
Named in honor of the original builders of 161 Albert Street, we offer two (2) cozy rooms for overnight weekend guests:
The C.F. Smith Room
The C.F. Smith Room provides serene accommodations with a cozy queen bed, decorated in warm grey tones. With a chair for reading, a comfy blanket and space for your luggage, there's a restful feel in the room.
The John Pepper Room
The John Pepper Room overlooks the back garden, with a queen bed and is bright and fresh in tones of white. With 2 large windows and fluffy pillows stacked high, this room provides warmth and comfort to read or rest for the afternoon.
Our rooms share a large bright and modern bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower.


Our bedrooms are located on the second (2nd) floor accessible by a staircase. Please note that due to the age and structure of the building, we are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
Both guest rooms have access to two large receiving rooms, a quiet sitting room, and the welcoming hub of the kitchen, complete with large walk-up island for socializing, and elegant dining room that seats 10 people. The backyard offers a contemplative deck bathed in sunlight every morning and large pollinator gardens along the perimeter, featuring local flowering trees, plants, and bushes that are splendid Spring through late Fall.

- Cancellations made 7 days in advance will receive full deposit refund

- All prices subject to Municipal Accommodation Tax of 4%
*While we understand that plans can change due to circumstances, cancellations with less than 72 hours notice prior to your check-in date will result in a single night’s equivalent charge.
